..."For the last two years I have been working with old books of all kinds. Books excite me and inspire me; their texture and colour - and even their smell – are unique and distinct. I admire that so many people work together to make these old journals, encyclopaedias, catalogues and books. The quality of their illustrations, the dedication of the typesetter and the precision of the binder all contribute to create stunning art pieces. The particular ones I work with have somehow lost their value due to damage by water, worms, missing pages, a broken spine, or they simply have been forgotten. I love to give them back their glory."
