Through treatment, Prieto continued to create, transforming experience into material and form. In her ongoing interest in documenting lived experience, she developed Twelve Cycles — a series of studies archiving, by bringing together, all the pre-medication administered each Monday before chemotherapy, alongside twelve spontaneous embroideries made while receiving treatment. Each piece reflects the physical and mental state of the moment, tracing subtle shifts in form, colour, and rhythm across twelve weeks.

Prieto is donating a percentage of the sales of her work for a year and running a half marathon to support Maggie’s, a remarkable charity offering practical and emotional support to people experiencing cancer.
