In a series of 10 limited edition prints Francisca explores the uncanny resemblance of many of the characters of the Latin alphabet to Hindu-Arabic numerals. Using these everyday symbols, Francisca creates new and distinctive characters, combining a letter and number from each unrelated script. These avant-garde representations are both strange and familiar, a joining of elegant lines and evocative angles that form new connotations; intriguingly different, each reinterpretation possesses its own personality.
