Echoes: Juxtaposition reflects on the idea that one’s persona subtly changes when immersed in two distinct cultural environments. Made with ticket stubs – or ‘half-tickets’ – preserved rather than discarded, they symbolise the fragmented experiences that together form a cohesive narrative.

The tickets are unified through a similar colour palette throughout each work, as one person. Their tones then shift with the contrasting halves of each background, representing how identity adapts in reaction to different environments.

The visual and physical separation between the two halves is stark, with the vibrancy of bright and bold colour juxtaposing cooler quieter tones. Despite this division, the tickets – through their colour, format and alignment – bridge the gap; they embody the constant of an individual in two coexistent worlds.
